Defensive Driving – Commercial Motor Vehicles

Course Objectives:

Commercial truck drivers have more nonfatal injuries than workers in any other occupation. Half of the nonfatal CMV driver injuries are serious sprains and strains, and the other injuries are bruises, fractures, cuts and lacerations, soreness, and multiple trauma. This course has been designed for drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles to teach defensive driving safety techniques while at work. Commercial trucking companies should be requiring their drivers to take this kind of course and even have a refresher. When they hire new employees for their CDL A Truck Driver Positions, taking this course should also be required of them before or right after they get hired.
