PEOs that are accredited by the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) are continuously monitored for adherence to important financial, ethical and operational standards.
ESAC also provides clients of accredited PEOs with independent verification of the PEO’s performance of key employer responsibilities, as well as financial assurance of that performance.
This financial assurance is provided through over $15 million of surety bonds held on behalf of accredited PEOs by the Employer Services Trust, with a major national bank serving as Trustee. The ESAC certification is often referred to the equivalent of the FDIC for the banking industry.
ESAC accredited PEOs represent the top 5% in the PEO industry. UniqueHR has been accredited by ESAC since 2003.

The Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) provides independent recognition of a firm’s conformity to the financial industry’s best practices. Ongoing CEFEX accreditation verifies that retirement plans:
- Comply with investment related laws and internal governing documents
- Utilize industry best practices
- Minimize and disclose conflicts of interest
- Utilize reasonable models to calculate expected returns
- Properly communicate risks, volatility, and expected returns
- Conduct annual reviews of the plans and its managers
- Ensure proper documentation is in place

The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) is the national trade association for the PEO industry, representing about 85 percent of the industry’s estimated $92 billion in gross revenues.
NAPEO membership offers a variety of resources to keep UniqueHR informed about the legislative and regulatory environments where we operate. From a state-by-state and federal regulatory database, to ongoing member communications, NAPEO works to make sure that UniqueHR has the resources available to stay in the know about emerging regulatory and legislative issues affecting our clients, their business, and their employees.
NAPEO membership also demonstrates our commitment to professional development.
